Much has happened in the last 8 months...The 300 came out on DVD. We moved, I changed jobs twice...(sort of) Cale got engaged...Congratulations Cale & Laura.

Last weekend I spent 45 minutes waiting for Half-Price books to go through 9 (nine) boxes of fantasy and sci-fi books. This has been my 3rd shipment there. I noticed each time - regardless of quantity or quality, they offer me $99. I thought it a strange coincidence, but then again I was to busy buying new books to put towards my new balance.

Kim and I wound up walking out $60 poorer (spending $160) but got some minor x-mas shopping done. I also walked out with some Fritz Leiber and finally got Foucat's Pendulum by Ecco - long recommended by Cale.

If anyone is looking for a good new fantasy writer try Joe Abercrombie's "The Blade Itself." Great characters. For truely awesome writing of course, read Fritz Lieber's Lankmar series.

I am bored and looking for something to obsessively pursue. any suggestions?

GO SEE 300!!!!!!!!!! IT KICKS ASS ON AN A SCALE UNKNOWN TO US. ITS ASS KICKING ON A LEVEL ONLY KRUM COULD TRUELY UNDERSTAND. IT WILL TAKE YORU ADRENAL GLAND AND SQUEEZE EVERY LAST DROP OF JUICE OUT!!!!!!!

3. I will soon be artmonkey to Unipixel, a company that developes fabric-like displays 12X more energy efficient, with 3X the resolution of current LCDs. I broached the subject of using the technology to cloak Klingon Birds of Prey, they are pursuing that angle through a government contract. Unipixel.com
